Forest Bathing at Heaven & Earth Vineyard – April 22
March 19th, 2018
NEWS & EVENTS
Sunday April 22 at 11AM:
Celebrate Earth Day with a unique Sonoma wine country experience. Forest bathing in the most hidden and majestic vineyards in Sonoma County not only provides an opportunity to slow down and reduce stress, but it also is an extraordinary way to connect to the terroir of this world-famous wine region through a full-sensory experience.
Shinrin-yoku is a term that means “taking in the forest atmosphere” or “forest bathing.” It was developed in Japan during the 1980s and has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. Jenny Harrow, Certified Forest Therapy Guide and Sonoma County wine industry professional, will take you to the remote hills outside the bohemian town of Occidental where you will find a stunning vineyard hidden behind forests and a pond. You will spend two hours being guided in the meditative practice of forest bathing, opening up your senses to the forest and the vineyard that surrounds you. From there, you will meander up a small hilltop and taste the Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir that is grown on that very vineyard. The experience will end at a Red Car’s tasting room with a seated VIP tasting of small-production, cool-climate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah.
$45 per person and special wine club member pricing. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot. Limited spots available!
