2016 Rosé of Pinot Noir
The release of the 2016 Red Car Rosé of Pinot Noir is upon us. Harvested at a cool 21º brix and immediately whole cluster pressed, our dry and aromatic Rosé is a true vin gris, fermented like a white wine without skin or seed contact. In 2016, the wine is bone dry at 12.9% alcohol, in a dashingly light shade of pale melon-pink and with an aromatic profile of tangerine oil, pink grapefruit, and Bing cherries. Cool-climate West Sonoma Coast and Mendocino Ridge vineyards give the wine its hallmark style., with the biodynamically-farmed Bybee Vineyard in Sebastopol Hills making up the backbone for this wine
Wild strawberries, tangerine oil, pink grapefruit, Bing cherries, rose petals
Red Car produces site-specific wines, focused on achieving bright acidity and lively aromatics. Sustainability is at the core of why we exist. We operate each part of the business from the belief that less is more. We are stewards of the land and of the people who consume our wine to ensure harmony with the Earth. We farm organically to protect the soil and our consumers from artificial chemical intervention. At each harvest, this philosophy makes its way into the cellar where we allow our wines to purely express each vineyard’s unique character. We achieve this by using native yeast fermentation and minimal intervention practices.
